Day 1 of a multi-day fossil hunting trip with Walter Stein and PaleoAdventures.

This was the first veterans exploration week. All participants were experienced fossil hunters. Day 1 of the trip was searching a brand new ranch with badlands exposure, which has never been examined before. Off-road driving followed by hours of hiking and exploring the buttes and exposures for signs of new bone beds.
