The Hongqi HS3 is a subcompact luxury SUV manufactured by FAW, a Chinese automobile manufacturer, under the prestigious Hongqi marque. Positioned below the Hongqi H5 mid-size sedan, the HS3 offers a compact and luxurious SUV option.
Unveiled at the 2023 Auto Shanghai, the HS3 is an updated petrol-powered entry-level crossover SUV. It comes equipped with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces 168 horsepower and is available in front-wheel drive configuration, serving as the entry-level model. The second option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces 252 horsepower and can be paired with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Both engine variants are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, ensuring smooth and efficient transmission.
