Geo-fence of mine boundary and transit routes(Coal India ltd.)

As an innovative measure, An Integrated surveillance system has been installed using combinations of modern technologies for surveillance in mine, railway sidings as well as during transit from mine to sidings to prevent coal theft or pilferage. It has helped in preventing coal theft of thousands of crores with a small investment. As the mines are spread over large areas with no physical boundary walls or fence, the first technology which is being used is geo-fencing to create an electronic wall around the mines.
