Officer Involved Shooting 08/18/2023

#JSO Chief of Investigations Alan Parker was joined by Duval County School Police Chief Greg Burton. Together they provided details of an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred tonight near the intersection of Duval Station Road and Starratt Road following a First Coast High School athletic event. No officers were injured, and the suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment for his injuries. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Update on Officer Involved Shooting - The suspect involved has been identified as Devonn A. Thompson (Black / Male, 15). He has been arrested for Discharging a Firearm on School Property and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. A picture is attached of the weapon the suspect was in possession of at the time.
