📍 Blue Lake from Gateway Trailhead.
🚗 Paved road to trailhead, but it can be snow and ice covered in winter.
🅿️ Large paved parking lot.
🥾 11.2 miles RT, 1,571’ of elevation.
❄️ Micro spikes & snowshoes recommended. The snow makes the hike more difficult and the trail harder to follow. I recommend downloading the trail map ahead of time.
⚠️ Be aware of potential avalanche danger.
💵 There is an entry fee & reservations are required in the summer.
⛷️ Popular area for cross country skiing.
🦮 Dogs aren’t allowed past Brainard Lake in winter.
🚻 Pit toilet at trailhead.
