CCTV 101: Camera Lenses Compared

If you're new to CCTV cameras, you might think that all camera lenses are the same... but they're not. With several focal lengths to choose from, selecting the right lens can be a daunting task.

In this episode of CCTV 101, we'll compare different focal lengths of standard CCTV lenses to help you choose the best lens for your application.

For this video, we mounted six of our EX-SDI BZ series bullet cameras to a tripod and set them up in four different scenes. Each camera is set to a different focal length, ranging from an ultra-wide-angle 1.7mm lens— all the way up to a telephoto 50mm lens.
