Josh Allen is a human “game changing play!”
Welcome to Studyball! Today we are going to take a look at Josh Allen! I know a lot of people have asked me to look at some of the other guys and how they are separating themselves from others. Are they making the same mistakes that everyone else is making? We are going to take a look at that today.
On NFL gameday morning, I called Josh Allen the “human GCP” or game changing player because he is always making big plays for his team. Sometimes he is forcing some when he can take a play underneath. But the beautiful thing about Allen is that he can make up for those mistakes throughout the game. That’s where the super talented players have the ability to overcome some of the mistakes that they make. Some other quarterbacks don’t have that ability- I know I didn’t have that ability. I couldn’t make up for mistakes so I had to win the game mentally and that’s what I do here on QBConfidential and Studyball. I talk the mental side of it. If you do that you have always got a a chance. You can add all the special abilities but the mental side is as important. Some guys can do it but you still want to get to the point where we are making the layups. We need to make the easy plays so when we aren’t there, we can make the special plays. So we don’t need to make 20 special plays a game because we are making the layups. Josh Allen had a huge game. Big plays with 4 touchdowns to get the win in Buffalo over Miami. Let’s take a look at the tape!!
The guy is a freak. Human GCP. You say it play after play. There are some places where he can still grow. It all takes time like all quarterbacks do. But he has the ability to save himself from missing a particular read but then making a play. He also does alot and it’s why he is talented and special with the way that he can run, throw and make time and all that stuff. But he also understands what he is doing. He can make those crucial throws all the time because of that. He is still getting better and that’s the scary part! But I wanted to show this because like alot of guys who are still very talented, still need to work on the little things. That’s why I make these tapes. To show you the little details. Coaches, play designs, that helps a quarterback immensely. Know where your eyes are in the different looks. The whole key is to understand what I’m seeing, where are my eyes on the snap, who is that initial read and then move from there. That’s what being a quarterback is all about. It’s not easy and alot of stuff to see over a short period of time. These guys are playing at the highest level. I played at the highest level and it can be done. First, it’s all about teaching and showing you guys. Josh Allen is doing great things and is playing great football, making big plays after another. I bet they are going to continue to grow and get better. The sky is the limit for the Bills and for the Josh Allen and they can still get a lot better. #joshallen #nfl #buffalobills
