"Dal" - This letter starts from quite down of the line two. Means full "Qat" of the "Qalam" or pen should quite down of the line and with the circuit of one "Qat" the pen move slowly in circular dimension of the line number three. Means the upper part of the "Dal" is of two "Qat" in length and it's middle part is only (chair) only one "Qat". "Dal" have also lower side and bottom (chair) is of only quarter "Qat". The head of "Qat" is round point.

"Ray" - The head of "Ray" is thin and it's point is also one "Qat" like "Dal", another "Ray" is crosswise, which one usually used with crosswise "Dal". This may be called an artistic way of writing "Ray".
