Bending bonsai - from straight tree to cascade bonsai - Cedar - How to bend long big branches

Far too often I see beginners to bonsai be given poor advice when they ask for advice when it comes to a tall straight tree. This cedar was close to 6ft tall and belong to a member of my club. He received lots of advice to just cut it off and create an upright tree however I was lucky enough to change his mind and promised him I could turn this into a cascade bonsai.
After three hours of work, we completed the first styling of this cedar. I did not use any raffia on the trunks and only used heavy gauge 6mm aluminium wire coiled 3 times. A few guy wires were necessary to pull the trunk and branches into position.
