This video tutorial shows Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) installation on Oracle VirtualBox step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS on physical computer or laptop hardware. We also install Guest Additions on Xubuntu 16.04 LTS for better performance and usability features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display, Shared Folder, Seamless Mode and Shared Clipboard, Improved Performance and Drag and Drop.

Steps:
1- Create Virtual Machine on Oracle VirtualBox
2- Start Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) Installation
3- Install VirtualBox Guest Additions
4- Test Guest Additions Features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display and Shared Clipboard

Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) New Features and Improvements
Like previous LTS series, Xubuntu 16.04.3 includes hardware enablement stacks for use on newer hardware. This support is offered on all architectures except for 32-bit powerpc, and is installed by default when using one of the desktop images. Ubuntu Server defaults to installing the GA kernel, however you may select the HWE kernel from the installer bootloader. As usual, this point release includes many updates.

Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Desktop Minimum System Requirements
To install and use Xubuntu, you need at least 512 MB of memory. You can also try Xubuntu within the Desktop DVD with the same amount of memory. Keep in mind that running the system from a DVD will be slower than an installed system. When you install Xubuntu from the Desktop DVD, you need about 7.5 GB of free space on your hard disk. Your processor needs to support PAE in order to run Xubuntu.

Xubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Desktop Recommended System Resources
To get a smooth experience when running multiple applications parallel on the desktop, it is recommended to have at least 1 GB of memory. It is recommended to have at least 20 GB of free space on your hard disk. This allows new application installations as well as saving your personal data on the hard disk in addition to the core system.
