Bihar CM Manjhi- Upper caste people are foreigners

Known for making controversial remarks, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Wednesday claimed that the upper caste people were foreigners and descendants of the Aryans in the country. “Only the tribals and the Dalits are the indigenous people of this country,” Manjhi told the locals during his trip to Champaran district to prepare the ground for his predecessor Nitish Kumar’s ‘ Sampark Yatra’. The chief minister visited the areas inhabited by Tharu tribes in West Champaran. Manjhi claimed that he was informed that officials of the Valmikinagar Tiger Project were preventing the local tribals from celebrating the wedding of their daughters in the forests. “But they (officials) themselves indulge in their own fun and frolic all night long. This will not do in my regime,” he said.
