Manipur/Manipura/Manipurak (Sanskrit name) also known as Solar plexus or Navel chakra is associated with fire and the power of transformation. It is said to govern digestion and metabolism as the home of Agni and the vital wind Samana Vayu. The energies of Prana Vayu and Apana Vayu (inward and outward flowing energy) meet at the point in a balanced system.
Just above the navel and below the diaphragm the solar plexus chakra lives. The color is yellow and the sound is “RAM”. Here determination will power, and courage resides. The fire we feel within and the fire that digests the food. So, the connected hormone is insulin secreted by the pancreas.

Chakra (chakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy centers in our body. They are spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic astral body. Although considered to be 114 different chakras in our body, there are seven 7 main chakras located in our astral body, along the spine, starting at its base and running upwards to the crown of the head. The astral body is the energy body residing inside our physical body.Each physical body part has a corresponding astral body part. The astral body cannot be seen or touched. This is also a reason why we cannot see the chakras.
These 7 Chakras "focalized" centers of awareness, consciousness, and sacredness in our body via which energy flows through,if our body can’t let the energy pass through all of these 7 centers, there can be an internal imbalance leading to mental, emotional , physical and psychological disorders. The conscious awareness and balancing of these energy centers will lead us to be our best self.
