Cannot See Other Computers on Your Network in Windows 10/8/7 [Tutorial]

When you go to My Network or Network on Windows, is it empty or empty? Even if you are connected to the network, you still cannot see other computers on the same network for various reasons.

If you added a new Windows 10 computer to your corporate or home network, you may have already noticed that Windows 10 can't find all (or some) network computers, when you explore 'Network' (from 'File Explorer'), while Windows 7 and 8  PC's can see all of them. The problem exists even after enabling the Network Discovery on the Windows 10 PC.

If you’re trying to share files between PCs on a local network, but you just can’t make a connection, it could point to a problem with your network configuration. You may be connected to your network, but accessing other PCs and devices on your network might be blocked.

This is often due to incorrect settings on your device or a broken network connection. Thankfully, it’s usually an easy process to fix if you can’t see other computers on a network. Windows, macOS, and Linux PCs all suffer from this problem from time to time, but here are some quick fixes you can use to resolve the problem.

First of all, you must determine what type of network you are on, i.e. a work group or a domain. If you are in a domain and you cannot see another computer on My network, it may be because the DNS is not properly configured, or because your administrator is blocking network browsing for security reasons.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).
