AIR FRYER Thai Style Pork Belly
Crispy on the outside and tender and flavourful on the inside, these Thai pork belly bites are irresistible.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Marinating time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Total time: 1 hour
Serves 4

Ingredients
1.7 pound pork belly
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon Thai red curry paste
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon dark sweet soy sauce
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper

Instructions
1. Cut the pork belly into bite size pieces, about 1/2 inch thick.

2. Place the pork belly pieces in a large mixing bowl. Add all of the marinating ingredients and mix well, ensuring that each piece is covered with the sauce and seasoning. Marinate for about 5 minutes.

3. Preheat the air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. For easy clean up, line a piece of tin foil at the bottom of the air fryer basket.

4. Place the marinated pork belly pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd them. Air fry the pork belly pieces in batches until they are cooked through and turn a nice brown colour, about 9-10 minutes per batch (flipping them a couple of times throughout the cooking time). Note: air frying time will depend on the size of the pork belly pieces and the size of the air fryer.

5. Remove the pork belly from heat and serve warm as an appetizer or a main dish with rice or noodles and a side of vegetables.

Alternative cooking method: Bake in the preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 minutes. Be sure to line the baking sheet with parchment paper and the pork belly pieces are flat on a single layer on the lined sheet.
