Durability
This shoe won the competition in the durability or lack of. The video shows that the outsole came off just off the 120km mark. I run the same trail routes with every shoe I have, and none of them has had this issue. The Hoka Speed Goat 5 has close to 350km, and only minor wear and tear at the heel is visible. Inov-8 G300 Max has around 120km, and the outsole looks intact.
Luckily Altra have two years of warranty on the shoes, so I am with my fingers crossed that I get refunded for the purchase of these shoes.
Laces
The laces have a plastic feeling. They are rigid and not flexible, so it isn't easy to tie them and keep them tied up. This affects how the shoes fit, making it difficult to have a good lockdown.
Lockdown
The fit of these shoes is loose around the collar and midfoot. Tightening the shoes helps, but I got a nasty lace bite when I did it. I suspect this happened because my feet slid forward during steep downhills and ended up resting on the laces (the shoe tongue is pretty thin).
