Cardiomyopathies: getting to the heart of the problem | University of East Anglia (UEA)

The heart is an elegant pump that beats approximately 3 billion times in a lifetime.  Given its crucial role, it is not surprising that disorders of heart muscle may result in severe symptoms and/or sudden cardiac death. Prof Michael Frenneaux’s inaugural lecture will describe how careful investigation of the disturbed physiology in these disorders can lead to the development of effective therapies. http://www.uea.ac.uk
