It's been four years since the MORITA series has been established. Following the releases of "KUROGAKI" and "USHIKOROSHI", we now introduce the elegant Pink Ivory model, the "YURUSHI-IRO"

The exceptional craftsmanship involved in carving out cantilevers one, by one is truly remarkable.

By assembling the wood cantilevers using a microscope and precise tweezers we have discovered a sound that took us on a three year journey of exploration.

Taniguchi, a seasoned expert with 27 years of experience in sound inspection, took the time to listen to this masterpiece. ("Sound inspection" refers to the examination process where each assembled record stylus is listened to one by one to collect data.) Taniguchi commented, "Each sound is incredibly delicate, with crystal-clear high notes, and an overall beautiful sound."

MORITA's objective is not to pursue a sound but to explore what kind of sounds can be achieved. This serves as our theme.

【What is Pink Ivory  wood?】
Known as a “Peach-Colored Ivory,” Pink Ivory is distinguished by its characteristic pink-hued grain, in line with its name. The material is exceptionally hard, making it a challenging wood to work with. The pink portion of the wood can only be obtained from the heartwood (the inner part of the tree trunk), and there can be significant variations in color tone among individual pieces, rendering it a highly prized and costly commodity.

Due to its exquisite beauty and texture, Pink Ivory finds application in crafting furniture, art pieces, and even musical instruments. It’s important to note that Pink Ivory is unrelated to actual ivory; its name stems from its resemblance in color tone to ivory.
