Hi everyone and welcome to EZ Trading Computers. This is our quick tip video
series. In each of these videos, I'll show you step-by-step how to perform
configurations and customizations to save you time on your trading computer.

In this video, I want to talk to you about how to prevent your computer's
monitor from going to sleep too often. The reason for making this change is if
you're using your computer for trading, sometimes you're just monitoring charts
or information as the market is open. You don't want your monitor going to
sleep suddenly and missing out on a trade or some market activity. In
this video, I'll be showing you how to do this on Windows7. Right click on the
desktop. The last item in the grey contextual menu labeled
personalization. Next go to the bottom right hand corner of this control panel
appearances and personalization window and click on screen saver. A dialog box
will appear. Next click on Change power settings in the lower left hand corner
of this dialog box. Finally you want to click on the left side of this control
panel window. Choose when to turn power off on the display. You can change
settings for high performance and low performance in this case maybe you want
to make sure that for the most part your computer never goes to sleep. You might want to change the
display to never go to sleep during the day, at least not within three hours so.
If your computer sits idle for more than three hours the display would go black.
You can also set here whether after so many minutes your computer goes to sleep
completely or you can just mark never. Once I make those changes I click save
change. Now, I've updated my computer so that it won't go to sleep too often.
I hope this Quick Tip help you today. Thanks for watching this video and EZ
Trading Computers and we'll see you next time.
