Shirakawa-Go In Fresh Heavy Snow, The Most Beautiful Village In the Japanese Alps

Today we are exploring Shirakawago in Japan. THis historic village was built in the traditional way. Timber framed with no nails used in the frame construction this village is a masterpiece of woodworking and craftsmanship. We were lucky enough to arrive after a heavy snowfall. Since Japan is just opening up again, we were able to explore this beautiful place with no crowds and enjoy the sound of falling snow in peace and quiet.
