What does it take to be the most dominant hurdler in the world?
Grant Holloway has cemented himself as the best 110m hurdler in the world for the past five years. He was an eight-time NCAA champion at the University of Florida before turning professional and signing with adidas. Since then, he’s won three world championship gold medals and an Olympic silver medal. His personal best of 12.81s for the 110m hurdles is the second-fastest in history by just .01 seconds.
We paid a visit to Gainesville, Florida to watch what it takes to be the world’s best + how to mentally and physically prepare for challenges to stay on top.
At next month’s world championships in Budapest, he will look to become the third man in history to win at least three world championship gold medals in the event. He has a bye secured as the reigning champion. His title defense begins on Saturday at 8:37 p.m. ET with the first round of the men’s 110m hurdles at the U.S. Championships.
