Welcome to another video from Spain!
We travel by the oldest AVE train on the oldest high speed railway in Spain. The train is a Class 100 by Renfe, which is derived from the french TGV Atlantique and has been taken in service since 1992. The german company Siemens was highly involved in building this high speed railway, which had been opened also in 1992. That´s why it has the LZB-system and the same catenary as used at few high speed railways in Germany. Maximum speed is 250 km/h until Puertollano, then 300 km/h until Ciudad Real. The rest of the railway is allowed for 270 km/h, except one 300 km/h fast section.
