In this chapter we will see how to manipulate the digital input and output pins of the ESP-32 microcontroller, we will also learn how to use the internal Pull Up and Pull Down resistors to simplify the connection of peripherals. All of this is developed using Visual Studio Code as the code editor and PlatformIO as the core.
In this chapter we will also develop a project from scratch using the ESP32 IDF, which will allow us to learn how to compile, load and visualize the response of our microcontroller.
