Recipe Down Below.....    / @livingthealleyway5777   ==================================================================== Connect with us! - Follow us on Instagram at: www.instagram.com/livingthealleyway/ - Follow us on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084713623197 - Email us for inquiries: [email protected] ==================================================================== Asian BBQ Soy Curls Chick-Un by LiivngTheAlleyWay Ingredients: - 2 tablespoons of neutral oil; we use avocado oil - 2 cups water - 1/2 package soy curls (we use Butler Soy Curls - link down below) - 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon No Chicken - link down below - 1/2 cup orange juice - 1/2 cup pineapple juice (can use orange/pineapple juice) - 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Vegetable Base - link down below - 1/3 cup soy sauce - 1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed - 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced - 2 garlic cloves, minced - 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar - 3 tablespoons ketchup - 1/2 tsp dried crushed red pepper (optional, to taste) - 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons reserved marinade - 2 cups cooked white or brown rice - link down below - 1/2 cup green onion, chopped for garnish - 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish - link down below Instructions: - In a large bowl, add the Better Than Bouillon No Chicken Base to 2 cups warm water and stir well - Add the dry soy curls to the liquid - Allow to sit for 10 minutes to rehydrate - Drain the soy curls, reserving the liquid, and squeeze out all of the excess liquid - Add the reserved liquid to a large bowl - Add the orange juice, pineapple juice, Better Than Bouillon Vegetable Base, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, vinegar, ketchup, garlic cloves, and crush red pepper (if using) to the bowl - Stir well to mix - Add the rehydrated soy curls to the marinade and let sit for 20 minutes - Add the oil to a large skillet and heat to medium high - Add the soy curls and the marinade to the skillet - Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15-20 minutes - Mix the cornstarch and reserved marinade to make a slurry - Add the slurry to the boiling soy curls and stir well until the sauce thickens - Serve the soy curl "chick-un" over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired - Enjoy!
