When we start to contemplate on the nature of self and the nature of reality, it involves questioning our most basic assumptions about things. One of this basic assumptions is the belief in Naive Realism. Naive Realism is the worldview that's all about believing that the world works essentially the way it seems to practically work. So, if we leave our house to go to the store, the house is still DEFINITELY there even if we aren't perceiving it. Now, we have no evidence to support the worldview of Naive Realism, but most people believe in it all the same. But when we are on the non dual path and seeking to experience Truth and the non dual existence, seekers on the spiritual seeking spiritual enlightenment actively question the notion of Naive Realism. But when these spiritual seekers do this, there is an enlightenment trap waiting for them on the other side of that contemplation. I call that trap Naive Solipsism. Solipsisim is the belief that our perspective is the ONLY perspective. This is the beginning of a series that I'm going to be doing on YouTube that I'll refer to as the "Enlightenment Seeking Traps" series. So you can anticipate more topics like this in the future.
