Rafter Layout | Use A Framing Square Correctly | How To | MY DIY

I'll show you my technique for laying out a common rafter using a standard framing square.  This rafter is for a 20' wide garage that i built.  The roof is a standard 4/12 pitch with a 6" overhang. Once you've laid out and cut your rafter pattern, you can trace out as many as you need for the your build!
