Richard's Story

Richard Phillip Smith was born in Kendal, England in 1954. He and his hardworking parents arrived in Australia in 1956. Richard was and is an addict. He became a mechanic, a daily heroin user then a drug dealer. Richard took his last drug in 1985 and after getting clean, he established one of Australia's most successful rehabilitation clinics. His tale of pain, addiction, suffering, transformation, and redemption is extraordinary. This is his story.
