The GWM Tank 300 surprised everyone with its competency both on- and off-road, thanks to its gutsy four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and rock-solid 4x4 underpinnings – including multiple locking diffs.
So what do we make of the new hybrid version, which adds a 20 per cent premium to the price tag? Well, it sounds good on paper but the proof’s in the pudding and this dessert really needs a cherry on top to justify that price hike.
