Using Three Router Reading and analyzing the routing table of the network.
A Router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. This device is usually connected to two or more different networks. When a data packet comes to a router port, the router reads the address information in the packet to determine which port the packet will be sent to. For example, a router provides you with internet access by connecting your LAN to the Internet.
The main purpose of a routing table is to help routers make effective routing decisions. Whenever a packet is sent through a router to be forwarded to a host on another network, the router consults the routing table to find the IP address of the destination device and the best path to reach it. The packet is then directed to a neighboring router -- or the next hop listed in the table -- until it reaches its final destination.
