In the first answered question, I talked about how soon hiv can be detected on the blood test. But, note that, hiv testing comes with different test accuracies depending on the time after exposure you got tested. To simplify it all, any hiv test done after 3 months is around 99.9% accurate closer to 100%. So do not repeat an hiv negative test results obtained at 3 months. Any hiv test done after 6 weeks is around 95-99% accurate, and you will need to do a second test preferably at 90 days. If you are using 4th generation hiv test kits, or HIV RNA kits, hiv test accuracy at 2 weeks is around 90-95% accurate.
