As one of the original "mindhunters," Dr. Ann Burgess helped the FBI create its famed Behavioral Analysis Unit. She pioneered the use of science to study and understand serial killers, and is now using artificial intelligence to help police stop mass shootings. On this week's Headline Crime, Dr. Burgess joins hosts Susan Hendricks and Dan Szematowicz to give her views and experiences on serial killers such as Edmund Kemper, Dennis Rader (BTK), Ted Bundy and Israel Keyes. Also, she explains her new AI project, designed to help law enforcement identify threats to public safety, and get ahead of gunmen.
