Unsuccessful attempt at delayering a multi-layer printed circuit board via heat gun. Milwaukee MHT-750 with a maximum operating temperature of 1000 degrees F. Exposure to the heat gun eventually caused the PCB’s inter-layer adhesive to soften slightly, allowing us to attempt to peel layers apart. This method runs the risk of completely destroying the target PCB through excessive heat or physical force and is not practical for controlled delayering.
