In this video, I talk about how Brown Headed Cowbirds learn to be a Brown Headed Cowbird. These birds are brood parasites, which means they will lay their eggs in other bird species nests and let them raise their young. This raises an interesting problem, most other young birds are raised by their biological parents or one of their own species which means they learn their behaviors and vocalizations from them. Brown Headed Cowbirds are raised by other species which means they don't learn from their parents, and they are being raised by another species, so how do they know they are a cowbird and not a finch or warbler? Find out more about the ways Brown Headed Cowbirds discover their identity in this video.

Here is my previous video on Brown Headed Cowbirds, I would recommend watching it before this one, if you have not already seen it: Brown Headed Cowbirds - A Brood Parasite
