Lawsuit Against Biden: Palestinian American Ayman Nijim on the U.S.' Role in Gaza Genocide

SUBSCRIBE HERE    / @lauraflandersandfriends   Palestinian American Ayman Nijim, who was born in Gaza and has immediate family there, was one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed in November 2023 calling on the court to enjoin President Biden, Secretary of State Blinken, and Secretary of Defense Austin from providing weapons and other forms of support for Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. After hearing testimony from an array of human rights groups, as well as Palestinians who live in Gaza, and Palestinians in the U.S. with family members there, Judge Jeffrey S. White dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds. An appeal was later filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights and co-counsel Van Der Hout LLP saying that the Constitution requires that the federal judiciary apply the law, including the Genocide Convention. Ayman Nijim spoke in Washington DC on July 24, 2024, as tens of thousands of people protested Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appearance before a joint session of Congress.
