It started with the passion of an Ahmedabad based interior display designer, who wanted to save classic brass, bronze, and copper artifacts from being broken and melted for its metal. He went beyond his financial limits to collect those vessels and utensils from rural India, and soon he found that he had collected them in enough numbers to create a museum.
It was opened three years after Vishalla. Now it has over 6000 classic artefacts made of bronze, brass, copper, clay, steel, and also of wood. They are from being an inch long to seven feet in diameter cooking pan housed in a museum itself is built such a way that it gives us a feeling of visiting a large rural house.
It’s a great value addition to Ahmedabad’s rich collection of interesting places to visit. This mini-documentary in the form of a virtual tour is an attempt to give us an idea of what we can expect when we visit it actually.
