Tired of Microsoft Edge taking up a lot of space after each update? Don't worry, follow these simple steps to reduce the bloat.- First, navigate to your Windows install partition or disk, then click on Program Files (x86) and select the Microsoft folder. Here, you'll see four folders: Edge, Edge Core, Edge Update, and Web View.- As you can see, the entire folder is using close to 2GB of space. Now, let's check the actual location of the Edge shortcut icon that's pinned to your taskbar.- You'll notice that it points to the Edge folder. This means we can entirely remove the EdgeCore folder and manually clean up older cached install files under the Download folder within the Edge Update folder.- You can also use a tool like Bleachbit to thoroughly clean up cached install files for Edge Update, logs, and cache. - This is especially helpful when creating slip-streamed Windows versions and reduces the size of your ISO by 1GB or more if you have multiple editions or architectures in an ISO. You can watch my Windows Customization playlist by clicking on the "i" button in top right corner.
