This video shows how to recover your Gopro (here a Hero 3 Black) when it suffers from the very common 'Red Light Lock Up' , ie Red light at the back and no further camera operations. Note: It is important to get the camera WARM during the charging process. Do not leave it on a metal surface, this will draw away too much heat. If needed (eg you are in a very cold room) then you should place it very temporarily in some small bag or wrap it in bubblewrap as this will retain the heat. DO NOT LET IT OVERHEAT.
