DIY Kitchen Island Top Replacement With EKBACKEN on Ikea KALLAX Hack

Follow along as I replace the make shift countertop on my Ikea KALLAX Island.  The top I used is really not ideal as the marble look contact paper would not hold up to scrapes and hot temperatures.  I decided to buy a real laminate EKBACKEN countertop from IKEA to install as a fully functional top for my island.  This was a super easy job, and the results are impressive.  It makes this DIY island a truly substantial and AMAZING piece of furniture for my kitchen needs!
