While the "regular" Ford Raptor
While the "regular" Ford Raptor is a far more capable truck than 98% of its buyers will ever see the need for, the R version further distances itself from practicality. Before you leave me a nasty comment about all the definitions of practical, believe me when I say I am here for the party!
This truck, in my honest opinion, is one of the best trucks every created. It doesn't need anything. You buy it, you drive it. You drive it over that mountain, or through that desert, or to pick up your kids from school. It has multiple exhaust modes from "is the engine even on" to "the neighbors are going to hate me." Its ride is smooth, dare I say supple even? Not great for towing trailers and hauling stuff but honestly, most truck owners don't. Most importantly, the Raptor R isn't trying to one up anyone. It was created with a purpose to be one of a kind and I think Ford is staying true to that. Aside from the absolutely abysmal gas mileage, which doesn't matter AT ALL to anyone shopping for a $100k+ truck, I see no faults here.
