Medical oncologist Lisa DeAngelis of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center describes the unique challenges of treating brain cancer with chemotherapy, and the effort to develop new drugs that are tailored to the characteristics of different tumor types. One promising new approach involves the use of anti-angiogensis agents, which block development of the blood vessels that nourish brain tumors.
