China's lunar probe Chang'e-6 returned to Earth on Jun 25 with samples from the far side of the moon - a mission heralded as a world first.

Scientists say the materials harvested from the side of the Moon that faces away from Earth may help us better understand how the Moon formed and how it has evolved over time.
