Panels: Cheap and easy DIY front panels

So you have a synth module (or other electronic project) and it needs a front panel, what do you do? There's everything from Front Panel Express to spray paint and Sharpie. FPE is $$$ and Sharpie in my hands doesn't give me the look I want. So here's what I do.
