Starting Seeds Under Vermiculite / Perlite

I've been starting almost all my seeds under Vermiculite / Perlite this year and I'm so impressed with their performance and germination rate that I wanted to share it with you all!

I think I may have heard of others Starting Seeds Under Vermiculite / Perlite in the past...but honestly, I'm not sure. What I can tell you, is that I've had about 97% germination with the seeds (all varieties) that I covered with Vermiculite / Perlite and a lesser germination rate in those that I covered with my potting soil. By the time I get done with spring planting season, I'll have a pretty good grasp on whether on not this method is something that I'm going to continue, but I'm almost certain I will. I'm so impressed by this that I'm probably going to do a side-by-side comparison and let you know the results. :)

So far, I believe that Starting Seeds Under Vermiculite / Perlite is the way to go!
