You are wandering through one of the beautiful Las Vegas Casino’s when you see an attractive stranger looking at you. You think you are dreaming as they approach you and start talking to you. After some time, you become confident that they are not a hustler or Prostitute looking for business but just a truly nice, good-looking person, who seems genially interested in you.
Trough conversation you find out they have had a big night at the tables or slots and have been winning like crazy. All they want to do is celebrate and they don’t want to do it alone. They tell you they are so lucky to have met you and that they don’t want to celebrate alone, then they offer to take you out to an expensive dinner. They might even imply that they want to spend time together privately after dinner and drinks. They may even suggest that you go to their favorite restaurant in that very casino where they always go.
Of course, you are not going to pass up a free expensive dinner and drinks with an attractive stranger in a glamorous city. You would be crazy to do so right? That is just a Vegas Jackpot if you have ever heard of one! But no so fast!
Sure you will get to dine with an attractive stranger, but trust me you will be paying. At the end of the meal the stranger will usually tell you they just want one more drink before you guys are head off to their room to get to a little closer. Then they will order a drink for the both out you, usually something very expensive. Just then they will experience the sudden urge to use the restroom or take a call and ask you to wait on the drinks till they get back. Then they sprint off only to never be seen again, leaving you with a very large check to pay.
One person we personally know that this happened to paid almost $1200 for a single dinner as a result of this scam. A lot of money for someone who makes very little money working as a valet at a locals casino.
