The year is AD 866 and the legendary three brothers, sons of Ragnar Lothbrok and leaders of the Great Viking Army, are preparing for an invasion which will forge a kingdom and change the course of a nation’s history…
In February 2018 Vikings from across the world will descend on York for a week-long commemoration of a seminal moment in British history, the arrival and conquest of England by the Great Viking Army. Across the city you will discover an exciting programme that explores the impact of the Viking invasion with living history encampments, walks, talks, tours and of course, dramatic combat performances.
