Toyota Vietnam officially launched the
Toyota Vietnam officially launched the Yaris Cross as a rookie in the crowded B-size SUV segment. The appearance of the Yaris Cross promises to strengthen the competitiveness of the Toyota brand in the B-size SUV segment, along with the Corolla Cross.
This car is imported CBU from Indonesia and will be located above the Toyota Raize model and below the Toyota Corolla Cross in Toyota Vietnam's SUV product range.
In Southeast Asia, Toyota Yaris Cross is developed from Daihatsu New Global Architecture platform, sharing the same platform with a number of other car models in the Southeast Asian market such as Toyota Avanza, Yaris, Raize or Vios.
Toyota Yaris Cross has dimensions of 4,310 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, 1,615 mm high, slightly smaller than rival Hyundai Creta, but the wheelbase of Yaris Cross is 2,620 mm, 10 mm better than Creta.
Toyota Yaris Cross in Vietnam has 2 engine options. The regular gasoline version is equipped with a 1.5Lgasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, maximum torque of 138 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
The more advanced version is equipped with a 2NR-VEX 1.5 liter hybrid engine with a maximum capacity of 90 horsepower and maximum torque of 121 Nm combined with an electric motor for a maximum capacity of 79 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque.
The regular gasoline version uses a D-CVT transmission while the hybrid version uses a CVT transmission.
