If you use the Google Maps app, you might be surprised to see that places you’ve been have been tracked and saved within the app. Watch this video to learn how to turn off Google Maps Location History.
To begin, open the Google Maps app on your device. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner. Select Your Timeline. Tap the three dots in the top right corner. At the bottom, select Settings. Scroll down to see your location history settings. To clear your existing location history data, tap Delete All Location History. Tap the check box in the window that appears, then tap Delete. Tap Done. To turn off Location History, Tap Location History Is On. Tap the switch at the top to disable tracking. To confirm, tap Stop Storing Location.
