We show you exactly how to open Java files by first getting the correct version of Java, and secondly running the Jarfix. With this, you will be able to double-click on .jar files in order to open and run them. This is the easiest way to use programs that are made with Java. First things first, you will need to make sure you have Java installed. We have a complete guide on getting Java in the description above that we keep up-to-date with the recommended Java version. Once you are on our website, click the ‘Download Java’ button. Next, you will need to navigate to ‘Windows’, and then, click the download link next to ‘x64 Installer’. From there, you can just double-click to open the Java installer and go through the Java installation progress. This is required in order to easily open .jar files and link them back to Java. If you don’t have Java, you can’t link your files back to Java. With Java installed, we can move on to the next step of the process. This is running the Jarfix.
