Former Prime Minister VP Singh
Former Prime Minister VP Singh surrounded by supporters chanting 'VP Singh Zindabad' after he declared the implementation of the Mandal Commission which recommended the identification of 'socially and economically backward classes' in the country in 1990.
Elsewhere, students take to the streets to protest and oppose the commission and chant 'VP Singh Murdabad', 'Mulayam Singh Murdabad' on the streets and in front of the camera.
