Indian cities look to technology to fight water wastage

Megacities in India, as elsewhere in the world, are facing serious water shortages as population and industry booms. The Indian city of Surat, home to the country's textile industry, is using ABB technology to address the problem – smart flowmeters which monitor every business's use of water and feed the results back wirelessly to a central "smart city" control room. And city planners say they're already seeing results.
