SOIL WATER MOVEMENTS; GRAVITATIONAL MOVEMENT AND CAPILLARY RISE

In this hands-on demo video Naeem Kalwar working as Extension Area Specialists for Soil Health at NDSU Langdon Research Extension Center, Langdon, North Dakota, explains two most common types of water movements within the soils. As salts also move with the soil water, so it is very important to understand how water moves within the soils. This will help to better understand the problems of soil salinity and soil sodicity and their effect on valuable croplands in North Dakota.
